Medicine Hat experienced increased sales activity in August 2025 compared to the same time last year, and the average price went up 8%. This marks another strong month for our local housing market, reflecting continued buyer confidence and steady demand across the region.

The market is hot! Sales, listings, inventory, and average prices are all trending upward, while the Calgary market is balanced.

While the Calgary market is experiencing a slowdown in both prices and sales, Medicine Hat continues to show strength, remaining a solid seller's market with just 1.25 months of inventory and a 14% year-over-year increase in the average price of detached homes.

Despite the tariff's threat Desert Blume Market had one sale in February and four in March with lowest price of $840,000 and highest $1,060,000.

On March 12th, the Bank of Canada announced that it had lowered the target for the overnight lending rate by 25 basis points to 2.75%.
