Desert Blume is a peaceful hamlet/suburb south of Medicine Hat, about 5 km from the Cornerstone Shopping Centre and 3 km from the edge of the city, connected by a pathway and South Boundary Road.
There are about 274 households, with more being added as the fourth phase nears completion. The community consists mostly of single-family detached homes, ranging from $600,000 to $2 million and up, with a small number of duplexes in the first phase.
Some residents prefer a view of the Desert Blume Golf Course, while others choose homes backing onto 61A Range Road or South Boundary Road for added privacy—perfect for having a private pool. And in Desert Blume, there are plenty of private pools! Almost everyone is drawn to the tranquillity, safe community, and stunning natural surroundings, with scenic pathways winding through the coulees by Seven Persons Creek and the golf course lakes.
The community is supported by an active board of eight members who ensure that pathways, green spaces, and flower beds are well-maintained. They also foster community connections through events. We host three annual events: the Easter Egg Hunt, the Spring BBQ Party, and the Christmas Parade.
We maintain active communication through our Facebook group, and we hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM) every November.
